The Clifton Pool
Committee continually does fundraising throughout the year. These fundraisers
help provide many inprovements to the community pool...i.e. dry deck flooring,
baskets, sstarting blocks, swimming lesson supplies, lifeguard supplies and the
liners for both pools. We have been in existence since 1998, when the village
received a grant to renovate the pool facilities. List of Fundraisers: New Years
Eve, Concessions at SAMS Basketball Games, Family Fun Night, Provide
entertainment at Summer Fun Days, Breakfast.

The Clifton Community Food Pantry has been helping our area residents since
1978. We have 12 churches from three towns that participate in helping to make
our pantry a success. Anyone who lives in the Central Unit 4 School District and
anyone who has a mailing address of Ashkum, Clifton, or Chebanse, and
qualifies under ours and federal guidelines can come on one of the first four
Wednesdays of the month and sign up for help. We are totally funded through
private donations. If there is an immediate need you can call one of our

The Lioness Club was chartered on Nov. 15, 1978, with 22 members. This active
club has helped the Lions Club of Illinois and the residents of Clifton in many
ways. The Lioness donate to Lions Diabetes month, Sight & Sound fundraiser,
District 1B scholarship fund, Camp Lions and other Lions programs. In Clifton
they have donated to the Centennial Pool, park equipmentfor the village park,
The fire department, and to the pavilion
in the village park. The Lioness are also very active throughout the year: Kids
Halloween Parade and Party, Friendship Dinner, Christmas Baskets, Easter Egg
Hunt, and the Girls State for the American Legion.
Meetings
are held the first Wednesdays of September through May, at 7pm in the Clifton
Community Building, except for December when
a Christmas Party is held.

We have been organized since 1925. We meet monthly on the third Monday from September till June.
The regular meeting are held beginning at 7pm in the Clifton Community building. We
are all volunteers who plant flowers on main street, support the local food
pantry, and library, donate to Harbor House in Watseka. We support education
programs at Chebanse Elementary School. We are committed to volunteering and
community improvement.
