Clifton Village Clerk Description

Clifton Village Clerk is an elected position.  Clerk Leslie Balthazor was appointed to a two-year un-expired term and has been elected to two four year terms, the second of which will expire April 30, 2009.
The duties of the Village Clerk include but are not limited to:

1 - The clerk attends all Board meetings and keeps a full journal of the proceedings.
2 - The clerk retains all documents filed in the office: Ordinances, Resolutions, minutes, correspondence, etc.
3 - The clerk is the Local Election Official including absentee voting and registrations.
4 - The clerk is custodian of the municipal seal.
5 - The clerk is required to publish certain material, as needed.
