Clifton Community Development Corporation (CCDC) is preparing to transfer ownership of the Greenway to the Village of Clifton this summer. The Greenway project was started in 2012 and with the tremendous support of citizens and businesses of Clifton and the surrounding communities the project is almost complete. In order to cross the finish line, the CCDC needs some help. The CCDC would like to complete the walking path on the west side of the railroad tracks, in order for that to happen we are asking for donations through the purchase of the pathway lights. The greenway has a total of 62 lights of which 49 have already been purchased. With the purchase of a light, you will receive a stainless-steel name tag identifying the purchaser or any short 3-line inscription. The CCDC wants to take this opportunity to thank the hundreds of supporters of the Greenway and looks forward to the continuance of the Greenway under the Village of Clifton’s ownership.
For information regarding the purchase of a pathway light contact John Caspary at Ray Loman Insurance Group (815)694-2512 or Hanley Guy at Rabideau Grain & Lumber (815)694-2339.
